应外语部的邀请,美国福布莱特学者Charles Peek前来我校进行学术讲座。
    讲座题目： Hemingway and Modernism: Papa’s Passionate Poetics （内容简介：This lecture will raise issues with common misunderstandings of Hemingway’s work by looking directly at what Hemingway did and did not do as a writer. It will take a close look at both Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms, and from the examination of passages in both novels draw some conclusions about American literary modernism. The lecture will be suitable for both those in the audience who have already read some Hemingway and for those anticipating reading Hemingway）.
